Hot dog
Bruno found walking and any activity which wasn’t lying on the floor panting, tough today
The best you can is good enough
Now that we’re into vinyl whole new avenues of gifts have opened up. Daughter got me this Radiohead album for Father’s Day.
Under the bridge
Walked Bruno along an old canal or river bed under these bridges today
Tree down
A tee brought down by the recent winds lies in the Taff
Royal Veterinary College
Had an ALT trustees meeting today which was held in the Royal Veterinary College. The cafe has skeletons of all sorts of animals.
The wrong team
Passed this discarded flyer for our local Conservative MP who lost his seat last week. “Part of Theresa May’s team” it proudly declared. How’d that work out for you?
All aboard
This view from the balcony at the Jennie Lee building at the OU looks like the prow of a ship. On the day a big redesign of the ou was announced (big shift to digital but also significant cost cutting) it feels like all aboard.
Pip contemplates
Took pip & bruno down by the river. Bruno isn’t keen on water but pip loves it. She went in this little side pool of the taff and contemplated the open water but it was fast moving today so I called her back.
PS – i was walking like a very old man after yesterday
Yeovil marathon
I did the Yeovil marathon today – I’d got my tapering all wrong (and staying up until 4am Thursday night for elections didn’t help). I wasn’t as fit as I was for the last marathon (or even 4 weeks ago) so struggled in the heat. But hey, I’m happy with any time under 5 hours so 4.43 was alright.
