or something. That’s what we were on to by the time the plum brandy arrived.
Was up at 3am to go to Bristol to fly to Krakow for OEGlobal, where we are running two days of GO-GN seminars before presenting several papers at the conference

Getting in some sofa time
Bruno goes into kennels tonight as I am off to Krakow tomorrow. What with Paris, Nottingham, Krakow and then Edinburgh he’s spending a lot of time there. But after this, it’s all sofa time
Zamboni fun
At the hockey weekend last week daughter bought a (not Lego) toy of the Chicago Blackhawks zamboni, Corey Crawford and the Hawks mascot. Here they combine in one tableau
Space food
This is what they eat on the Planet Klarrrg you know.
I’ve been experimenting with smoothies, and suddenly people start lecturing you that smoothies are bad for you, too much sugar, etc. Try putting spinach in they said. Well, that’s all very well, but it’s not berries is it?
Blue sky thinking
I’m on leave this week but spent Monday reading a thesis, Tuesday in meetings & today preparing video transcripts then giving a webinar. Daughter is on school hols but being teenage doesn’t surface until afternoon. So it’s like working but without too much guilt, as I can stop when I want.
We went to the bay today and did some ice skating, then went for a Wagammama.
This pic may fool you into thinking it was sunny all day. We’d have spells like this and then a weeks worth of rain in 20 minutes.
Sunny canal
Felt properly like spring today, this was the sunny canal path on Bruno’s walk
Awards night
I feel like I’ve been saying it’s the end of the ice hockey season for the past four weeks. Well tonight definitely was the end with a players award evening at the rink. I’m guessing about half of this lot won’t be back.
Season’s end
We played the rather meaningless 3rd/4th playoff game today. Yeah, now it didn’t mean anything we won 6-0. The DevilsCaptain Tyson Marsh, (there’s a hockey name) announced his retirement earlier, so this was his last game. Here he thanks the fans, carrying his baby. I think I got something in my eye.
Hockeyville
We are in Nottingham for the final playoff weekend. After a dramatic comeback last Sunday the Devils made it.
Unfortunately they forgot they actually have to play when they’re here too. They were awful, and we lost 6-2 to Coventry. This meant a season where we were in the running for all three trophies has ended with nothing. That’s always the danger of going for all three I guess.
So, Paris Thursday, Nottingham, Saturday. The romance.
