Landed this morning & drove back, picking Bruno up from the kennels. He then laid on me all day making sure I didn’t leave again.

Good bye Lake
I’ve been taking a daily photo of Lake Michigan and posting on Instagram. We head home today so this is the last.

We went up the Chicago 360 observatory today- some great views over the city
In the cloud
Had a good Chicago day today – we saw the Cloud sculpture that features in every film about Chicago & did the art institute.
Then this evening it was another Hawks game. This time against the Toronto Maple Leafs. It was an easy win 7-2, some great goals.
Snowy Michigan Av
We did the gangster tour today & went to a sports museum. More importantly – it snowed! It felt like authentic Chicago in proper, blowing in your face snow.
Hawks time
After a day getting used to the cold, daughter and I made our way to the United Centre tonight to see Hawks play Anaheim Ducks. It wasn’t a very good game to be honest. It ended 2-2 & Hawks lost in overtime.
The atmosphere wasn’t very lively either. We both came away saying we prefer a Cardiff Devils game. We’re giving this NHL lark a chance to redeem itself on Monday.
Chicago pizza
We made it to Chicago. Went out for pizza – the 10 minute walk was sufficient to lose all feeling in my face, it is cold. Luckily not too windy in the Windy City though.
Tomorrow exploring & ice hockey
Packing
Off to Chicago tomorrow where it is about -10, so packing lots of layers
Manchester University
Was up & back to Manchester today delivering a session at the university. It was sunny!
