Carved in the cliff at Watergate Bay. I wonder if he/she said yes.

A member of the family
My daughter’s soft toy Dalmatian which she has had for a good 8 years, and comes with us most places. If he had a passport, it’d be well stamped.
The worry people
My daughter was given these by her gran. They are, apparently Guatemalen by origin. Wikipedia says that “A person (usually a child) who cannot sleep due to worrying can express their worries to a doll and place it under their pillow before going to sleep. Some medical centers use them in conjunction with treatment for disease in children.[3][4] According to folklore, the doll is thought to worry in the person’s place, thereby permitting the person to sleep peacefully”
I don’t like to think of a ten year old as having worries, but it occurred to me that we could do with these on a national level. Eurocrisis? Unemployment? Pensions? Don’t worry, let the worry people take them away…
It also has echoes of the series The Tomorrow People, except The Worry People would be a much more angst-ridden, depressing watch.
Self-reference
A label that says ‘Please remove this label’. Modern civilisation has brought us to this.
Dad
It’s my birthday at some point over the weekend. This is a card my daughter got me – made me reflect that ‘Dad’ is probably one of the words I hear most often, and yet there is only one person who can call me that (I guess other people could call me it, but that’d be weird)
Waiting
At the toll booths to cross into Wales.
I hate winter blipping – many days I drive to work in the dark, spend the entire day in meetings, then drive home in the dark. There are very few photo opportunities in this type of day, so apologies for the crapness of this one
Hanging on
This fella is at work, clutching on perilously by the sink – I think we all know how he feels.
Parallel lines
the towel rack in our bathroom – not much of a photo today, was stuck indoors with a poorly child.
Gulliver’s Land
The entrance to a small kids theme park, Gullivers Land, in Milton Keynes. Taken using the Camera+ app on the iphone and applying the HDR filter. Gives it a kind of fantasy land feel I reckon
Picnic area
I like pictures of signs. I may just take pictures of signs
