Leaving the New Forest today, so one last pony shot. The ponies in the new forest are all owned, but they live wild I think, and are rounded up once a year.

My daughter loves horses and liked approaching the new forest ponies, although she did so with appropriate caution.
A place in the country
This is probably the type of country getaway I could afford.
Took daughter riding at [url=http://www.visitcaerphilly.com/activity_providers/item/32211/Rockwood_Riding_Centre.html]Rockwell stables[/url] near Caerphilly today, was a lovely hot day and they went out up the mountain, which the stables own (they have nearly 250 acres apparently).
(not a) War Horse
This horse statue, constructed from horseshoes is at the stables where my daughter rides. On a related note, we saw Spielberg’s War Horse on Friday. Daughter is a big Michael Morpurgo fan, and sobbed for the last half of the film. Afterwards she declared that she needed water as she was dehydrated.
