More vinyl – I think Portishead is one of those albums you feel is made with you in mind: it combines jazz, indie, trip hop and all in a melancholic shell. It’d be one of my desert island discs I think

BBQ try out
Bought a new BBQ which we assembled last week. Got some gas today and tried it out in preparation for a BBQ on Saturday (when naturally it is forecast to rain heavily)
Egg cups UK
There was a funny thread on twitter the other day about Americans not having egg cups (because soft boiled eggs are not a thing). So, here for my American friends are egg cups in action
Sofa day
Bruno seems to be getting used to his wobbly legs. I can’t tell if he’s getting better or just accustomed to it. I tried taking him for a walk and he struggled over 10 metres and we turned around at the top of the street. I felt rough still, having a day off work even though we had a big meeting. We both pretty much slept all day.
Pills n spills
Not a good start to the week. I picked up a cold bug at the car boot sale and felt v rough today. I’m supposed to be in MK for a project launch tomorrow but spent 80% of the day sleeping.
But worse, yesterday Bruno went lame. He couldn’t control his legs and kept crashing into things and collapsing. It’s not helped by his blindness. I took him to the vets and she said it could be an infection, a stroke or spinal degeneration. Hopefully it’s the first, we have some tablets, and will take him back on Friday.
So we both spent the day on the sofa, feeling sorry for ourselves.
Setting Sons
This was the first proper album I ever bought. It hasn’t aged all that well, but still a good listen
Car boot sale 2
We did a different car boot sale today. It was like a horde of ravenous zombies descending on the car. We had an iPhone in a box in the car and before I’d opened the door people were calling out “how much for the phone?” It was like they could smell it. Someone even tried to buy the table I was using to sell stuff off.
Anyway we made a good amount for daughters Zambia trip.
Two dogs
Had Pip today
Another found gift
As well as finding the package from 2015 last week I also checked my post and found this from friend & fellow blipper Frank Rennie. Frank lives on Lewis and often sees baler twine being used for odd purposes so he put together this fun book. I love that we can all be publishers now. Thanks Frank!
Just casually reading
Had a conversation about my Digital Scholar on twitter this evening and then sent the person a jokey photo of me reading it on instagram, and now I’m putting one on blip. A digital scholarship example spread across different social media
