A sneaky mid week beer. I like that there is a wide range of beers available in supermarkets now, but there is a bit of regret that you don’t get that sense of only being able to get a beer in its locality now. I used to enjoy being in Cornwall and finding Proper Job or Doombar and that being part of the holiday.

End game
I was up and down to London today, then rushed home to catch the Wales Portugal game. The Cardiff fanzone had been moved from Coopers Field to the Millennium stadium. You had to get (free) tickets for this which sold out immediately. So we went to the one in Pontypridd instead.
Wales didn’t quite click in this game and their fabulous run came to an end. Personally I think it’s because they moved the Cardiff fanzone. The games have provided some joy in these post brexit days.
Hawk(s)
During half term daughter painted these letters (for the Blackhawks). She didn’t get to finish the S, so now they sit on the kitchen table, waiting.
No rush
Bruno saying there’s really no need to move off the sofa before 11, having had breakfast
We are happy
Daughter bought one of these wristbands for charity. We now pass it to each other when one of us starts ranting about current political situation. It’s been well used
Jazz hound
After a day of cleaning, changing beds, mowing & dog walking I relaxed on the sofa listening to jazz & reading. Bruno seemed quite keen on Lester Young.
Together. Stronger
Daughter and I went to see Wales v Belgium in the quarter finals tonight at the Cardiff fanzone. After the worst week in british politics in living memory, it was nice to see some unity. What a game, what a night. I’m so glad we went, we nearly stayed at home to watch it.
