It’s all in your head
Current reading is this book about psychosomatic illness. It’s very interesting, the manner in which people develop very real, and debilitating symptoms such as paralysis and blindness, from their subconscious. One of the tragedies is that they often resist the diagnosis of psychosomatic as they think it means they’re making it up, and so continue to suffer.
Filming Casualty
They are filming the hospital drama Casualty in the forest by me on the basis that this forest represents the sole outdoor location in the whole of Wales (it’s used for everything). They were set up in the three bears cave so I’m predicting a “foolish kids get trapped in a collapsed mine” storyline. Don’t worry – all storylines will be neatly resolved in 1 hour.
Evening walk
The good thing about summer and a brief absence of rain is that I can walk Bruno at 9pm and it’s still light out.
Set the hares running
They could be rabbits
President BISness
I gave a presentation at the Dept for Business Information Skills on open policy, for a meeting organised by ALT. Was an early start as the meeting kicked off at 9am.

Official kissing gate
Despite hanging around this gate for four hours, no luck.
No bow
Pip was stripped yesterday, and the lady who does it always adorns her with a pretty bow. Daughter and I are not keen.
Wild garlic
As well as my annual autumn leaves and bluebells photos I have a wild garlic one. Here it is.
