Tree design
It was a bright, frosty day, and the sun was caught behind the large tree in this park. It captures the fractal nature of the branches very well. Plus it looks as though it’s coming for you.
This was a case where I chose the better photo over the one which tells a story. In the extra you can see a clip from a gig I went to tonight. Jason Isbell in Bristol, he was very good. He’s a little bit country, a little bit rock n roll. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a 5 piece band doing just good songs with no frills. It was like seeing a good 4-4-2 formation, you’re reminded why it works.
Frosty graves
At the OU campus today. Was a frosty start,
Echoes of a guest
At the hockey last night (which we won 7-3, go Devils!) I saw that Christian Payne, aka Documentally, was after a B&B recommendation in Cardiff. I offered to put him up, so he turned up when I got back. We drank tea, had a chat about social media, and running. Then this morning I took him for a muddy run along the canal. He gave me a bottle of wine, thanks Christian.
Snow no show
While everyone else in the UK was posting pics of snowy scenes, here in Cardiff it was misty, and then, quelle surprise, rainy.
Not quite there
This was the weekend we (the Cardiff Devils) were supposed to move in to our fancy new Ice Arena Wales. To absolutely nobody’s surprise it isn’t completed yet. I’m sure it will be fab, when it’s done. You’ll probably even be able to get a decent cup of coffee there.
Tulips from Amsterdam
or somewhere else, I didn’t check
Sense of decay
Checked a new kennels out today for Bruno and passed this shell of a hut being reclaimed by the forest
Rescue me good Knight
Pretty sure a princess in the high tower was signalling for rescue using a broken piece of mirror this morning. Or just reflection off the glass, one of the two.
Bear on the loose
Took Bruno & Pip up the warren on Caerphilly mountain today. I let Bruno off the lead for most of the way. He reminds me of a brown bear wandering around in the forest.
Apologies for blurred photo,
