These are the first tomatoes of the year. There just hasn’t been enough sunshine. I think I may attempt making some green tomato chutney

Moss gate
They are doing some work on the Taff trail which means it is deserted. So I could climb down and look at these gates where channels enter the river. I think they date from when the canal was in use
Fed up
It’s been a miserable summer. I don’t mind rain, and I like living somewhere with seasons, I don’t want it hot all the time. But this is taking the piss. Normandy – that’s my sort of climate, British but a bit better. *looks at properties in Normandy*
Bruce
This is Bruce the shark. Yes he’s named after the shark in Jaws
The resilience of lillies
When I created my rockery I turned this lily out of a pot. I turned it upside down and was just using it for soil really but it came back strong and bloomed a lot this year.
Anti-social
This waste was dumped by the Taff trail where lots of people run, walk, and cycle. It makes me rage. Who does this? Their only concern is that it is less inconvenience for them, regardless of the impact it has on everyone else.
Ride free
Daughter riding Brandy around the fields.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Lots of pamphlets in the post today urging me to choose them as next Labour leader. After seeing the Scottish referendum in action I vowed to vote for hope if I got the chance, and Corbyn represents that.
But UK politics requires you to perform mental gymnastics sometimes & not choose who you want but rather the option who people you probably don’t like might vote for.
Warhorse
We went to see this today. Was amazing – I don’t like a lot of theatre as it’s dominated by musicals. We were practically sitting on the stage and you could see the puppetry work up close. Daughter loved it.
Science museum
Had a day here and then to the cinema
