Daughter got a box of chocolates from her mum, and the box is itself made of chocolate. One day, all boxes will be this way.

London Calling
Got a new picture for the wall today – the old promotion poster for the Clash’s London Calling. It also has the best B-side ever. Is putting up pictures like this a sign of mid-life crisis? Daughter found it hilarious. I like having retro posters of ‘perfect things’ around (see also, [url=http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/4642646]Jaws poster[/url]).
Back to school supplies
Got some stationery supplies for daughter’s return to school in a couple of week’s time.
Lemon hope
Bought a lemon tree at reduced price today. I don’t have an orangery or a conservatory, so will see how it fares indoors in the winter, but the thought of having my own lemons was too exciting a prospect to pass up.
Back home
Picked dogs up from kennels today, Pip just wanted to lay on the sofa all day. I think they need a day readjusting after holidays. Much like me.
Long drive
We left Scotland today and had a 10 hour drive back (hurrah for roadworks on the M6 & M5, hurrah for 2 accidents). A rainbow came out to say goodbye to us.
Actual dolphin
Went on a dolphin spotting trip from [url=http://www.ecoventures.co.uk/]Cromarty today[/url]. Only the one dolphin sighted and a couple of porpoises, but was good fun.
Scottish moor
Did a run over the moor today, full of that Scottish heather.
Loch Ness selfie
Well not a selfie, daughter took it. We walked down to the Loch this evening, it was a pleasant evening, if still rather chilly.
Whisky barrels
Went to visit the Glen Ord whisky distillery today. I don’t like whisky but I feel I should, so thought I’d try a tour. Had a tasting at the end and can confirm I don’t like whisky. I’ll stick to wine. And beer. And tea.
