Yes, almost an exact repetition of Friday’s blip, as I found myself bowling once again.

Angel hair
This grass is grown on the OU campus, I think it’s called Angel hair. I like the way it swishes in the wind, might try and get some at home.
Nash Point lighthouse
Did a lovely 9 mile walk today with Pip. It started in Llantwit Major and went along the coast to Nash Point lighthouse, and then looped back inland. I caught the sun, got muddy and took some photos.
Thai crabcakes
Have decided to up my cooking skills (from a very low base), so tonight made Thai sesame crab cakes and a Thai duck and pineapple curry. The crab cakes turned out ok, maybe the sesame seeds were a bit overdone, but the curry wasn’t such a success. The wine was a nice Riesling. I’ll add the crab cakes to my repertoire anyway. It now reads: crab cakes, spaghetti bolognese.
Dude, let’s go bowling
Daughter had an inset day today (she only went back to school on Monday after half-term), so I started work early and then knocked off early to take her bowling. I used to let her win, no more, she has to earn that victory. We had three games and she got closer each time. I’ll make a Lebowski out of her yet.
Cupboard love
My dogs are looking at me so intently because a) they love me or b) I am eating a bacon roll.
Bread n butter
Made some lovely granary bread in the bread machine today. Had a big crust, warm from the machine with just a big dollop of butter for lunch. Mmmm.
Chapter & verse
I went to a book club in Cardiff tonight. We had read Mark Gatiss’ Vesuvius Club, which I didn’t like much. But it was good to chat about books, even if it was one you didn’t care for. Afterwards we all went to the Chapter Arts centre for a pint.

John Charles stamp
Had to buy some stamps yesterday (i know, how often do you buy stamps now?). There are some World Cup related ones featuring famous footballers, this is John Charles, the Welsh player. Before Bale, he went overseas to play for Juventus. Before my time though.
