An edtech mug

I think I have shared this before, but you may not have appreciated the sheer majesty of my edtech mug. Hand decorated (I know, the lettering looks so professional), this is my work mug. Nobody can (or would want to) pinch this. All edtech people should have one and you are just jealous you haven’t got one.

Books that plant a seed

My daughter watched Schindler’s List last year and wanted to know more about the holocaust. I lent her my Primo Levi books. She didn’t read much of them, but they sat n her shelves for a while and she was aware of them. I like to think she’ll revisit them when she’s older. I read If This is a Man when I was about 24, and while it recounts a tale of such inhumanity, Levi’s style is such it that it remains one of the most humane books I have ever read. All of these books are great, but that and The Periodic Table are the real masterpieces.

Manphone

So, my old iPhone got wet, and had to be repaired. At IET they had a spare Otter Defender case which was described as “army proof”, “rugged”, “tough”. It reminds me of the batmobile in the Christopher Nolan Batman films. It’s all a bit macho for a phone, and doubles the size of it, but hopefully will prevent any more water accidents.
