I gave a talk at the LSE today. This is their ‘famous’ penguin statue outside the bookshop. It was stolen in 2009 and this is a replacement.

Bad ways to start the week
Got a flat tyre on the way to work today. After changing it, drove to a tyre fitters who told me all 4 needed replacing. And new brake discs too. Came away several hundred pounds down. Happy Monday
Sandwich joy
Don’t often take photos of my family, but my daughter’s homework was to create a sandwich and then upload it to the school blog. She went for a traditional ha doorstop. She looks pleased with it.
Windy miller
went for a short 5 mile run with my wife to celebrate being back from India. These wind turbines are on Mynydd Maerdy, and unusually you can get up right next to them (if you can move the sheep)
UK headlines you don’t see
From the cover of the India Times – public sector jobs up over 30%??
Taj Mahal
After a gruelling 5.5 hours coach ride, we arrived at the Taj Mahal today. It didn’t disappoint.
Cheers
Stephen Downes, Dave Cormier, Les Foltos, Clark Quinn and Jay Cross celebrate the successful end of Edge X

The grumpy Canadians
I’m at EdgeX conference in Delhi. These are my chums Dave Cormier and George Siemens in the bar, whining about internet access.
