Antique graffiti
The Clash and Class War? I wonder how long this graffiti has been in place. Mind you, it seems quite apposite in today’s climate.

Back in 2008 it all seemed so new and exciting. I liked, and still like, this skunkworks approach, where you can just do stuff with a bit of time and some ideas, and a few pints of beer. We came up with most of the ideas and approaches here in the cellar bar.

This is the last time this gang may be assembled in the OU Cellar Bar as Liam is leaving for an internet TV start-up.
Strange fruit
When the water level rises, lots of trees along the Taff have branches that dip into the water. These act as nets, catching all the debris (plastic bags mainly). Then, when the water subsides, along stretches of the river you have trees displaying these rather strange decoration.
PS – wonder of the plastic bag fee will reduce the number of bags we see?
(not a) War Horse
This horse statue, constructed from horseshoes is at the stables where my daughter rides. On a related note, we saw Spielberg’s War Horse on Friday. Daughter is a big Michael Morpurgo fan, and sobbed for the last half of the film. Afterwards she declared that she needed water as she was dehydrated.
Poor Man’s Tardis
Apparently Doctor Who has been hit by the recession and has had to downsize the Tardis (only on the outside)
Self-reference
A label that says ‘Please remove this label’. Modern civilisation has brought us to this.
Bad moon rising
Took this last night, just after midnight so it counts as today’s blip. Was just past a full moon I think.
