DJ, producer & rapper Madlib was given access to the legendary jazz label Blue Note’s archive. He produced this jazz/hip hop fusion double album which is very cool. Picked this up in Spillers the other day.

I like Costello but I don’t love his stuff in quite the way some people I know

So I’m going to do an album a day for a bit. You may want to unfollow.
Today Talk Talk’s the Colour of Spring- they started out in the new romantic movement in the 80s, but became much more interesting with this and subsequent albums which were very atmospheric. Picked this up in a sale after Christmas

I bought this vinyl of last year’s comeback album and it’s lovely. Sadly Kevin García died last year so it may be their last

This arrived today and after a bit of faffing I set it up. I’m not really an audio nerd, I don’t have a good ear for fine differences but the quality of this compared to my old cheap turntable which I just plugged into a single speaker is amazing.

Got a good selection of clothes in the sales & picked up these albums cheap
