As well as going to Coventry for the ice hockey on Boxing Day another Christmas tradition (i.e. This is the second year we’ve done it) is to see Cardiff City play over the Christmas break. We went to see them against Villa today. It was a good game and they won 1-0. It’s not as good as ice hockey though.
Let’s not even try to summarise what a shitstorm 2016 was. And if I had to pick a word that I guess will be used a lot in 2017 I’d go for Kafkaesque. But anyway, did a long run today, this is ponty cemetery.
Far better than the normal Christmas traditions is the one we have of driving to Coventry on Boxing Day, meeting up with hockey chums & watching the Devils play the Blaze. And usually we win which we did today, 5-3.
Was walking Bruno today when it started raining so we ducked into the pub
Here daughter and hockey chum pose with the Devils mascot, Taz. We beat Dundee 4-2 to go to the semi finals of the challenge cup
I’ve blipped this place before I think. I always expect a scary old person’s face to suddenly loom at the window
Daughter broke up from school today so we decided to go into town and see Rogue One. It was very enjoyable – after a summer of awful blockbusters this one got it right, and neither of us are massive Star Wars fans.
Plus – only £4!
Took Bruno up the forest for a quick walk today. Was probably lucky not to be made a sacrifice by mad druids.
Up and back to Birmingham today for a workshop. It meant getting up at 5, but this is my last early start of the year, so that made it ok.
