I’m not a huge Pink Floyd fan – I was too post punk for them to be in my formative years. And if I’m honest I like this album but not sure it deserves its iconic status. But it’s worth having in the collection
So in Toronto we spent a pleasant, if boozy, evening at the Steam Whistle Brewery. You could buy these 1l milk bottles which they then filled with beer. It seemed like a good idea in the Toronto sunshine but having lugged it back home I now wonder what exactly I’m going to do with it.
Went into town with daughter today – we had a meal at a place called Steak of the Art, then went to see The Death of Stalin.
Had pip over today so took them both for a walk – bit longer than usual for Bruno but he managed ok
I really love autumn, it’s my season. I don’t think i could live in a country that doesn’t really have it. Anyway, lots of online meetings today but managed to get Bruno out in the clear autumnal light
On campus today for the EADTU conference
Castell Coch always looks nice in autumn
Landed first thing this morning, drove back, got diverted because the M4 was closed, picked up bruno, and cleared emails. Tonight we went to see a testimonial game at the Devils for Mark Richardson who has played with us for 11 seasons.
Leaving for home today
I did the Toronto waterfront marathon today. It was tough – my slowest marathon of the year at 4.55. The course was flat & weather good so can’t blame it on that. I think a week’s conference beforehand with indulgence didn’t help, but just didn’t have mojo for it. Anyway, it’s a completed marathon, I won’t worry about time in a few weeks.
