Devils beat Nottingham 4-1 tonight to make it a 4 point weekend
Long run tomorrow so deciding which gel it will be
Pip came over today and I took her out for a run. I love watching her run, she does it with such joy
This is the OU offices in London. Except it’s not because we closed it, and made staff redundant, then moved in FutureLearn, the MOOC company we fund. I’m not sure how any of that benefits the OU, but in the crazy world of MOOC economics I’m sure it all makes sense.
Stormy night last night and my run route was blocked in a couple of places by downed trees
My colleague Will Woods left the OU today. We worked together for over 20 years, Will was part of the team that I worked with to develop the OUs first elearning course in 1999. We both then moved from Technology to IET. He’s off to be CEO at the open college of Arts.
I think the Bunnymen were my most seen band in the 80s. I love these three albums in particular
I bought this book to take to Berlin but didn’t get around to reading it. Primo Levi called it the greatest book written about the German resistance to the Nazis. That’s a pretty niche category admittedly.
The Cardiff devils raised the banners for the league and challenge cup tonight. This is a hockey ritual but there’s something of the spinal tap in watching them slowly ascend
In Liverpool we frequented the Philharmonic which had a fine gin collection, so I came home craving a nice gin. This is with berries and fever tree angostura bark tonic
