Went to see Cardiff Devils play the Nottingham Panthers tonight. The Devils were aiming for 13 games unbeaten at home, but we lost. The Panthers were the better team, although it was 4-3 to them with 7 minutes to go and we were pushing for an equaliser. They scored and then we collapsed to 7-3. Oh well.
Took Pip for a walk up the forest today. After all those snowy mountains in Kamloops the welsh hills are not as dramatic, but have their own charm.
I am a big Billy Bragg fan, and on the basis that no-one else will treat me for Christmas, I bought his recent book A Lover Sings for myself. It is a collection of his lyrics, and discussion around the songs. I got a signed copy too. He really is a fine lyricist.
Travelled back today from OpenEd and got home about 7pm. No trip is complete without some form of ceramic ware, so I got this Tom Thomson mug and this cute tea pot.

I flew to Kamloops today as I’m spending a couple of days at Thomson Rivers University. Had a walk down by the river this afternoon. This is the Red Bridge originally built in 1887.
Went to see the Vancouver Canucks play Chicago Blackhawks tonight with Brian Lamb and Clint Lalonde. The Canucks won 6-3 with a hat trick from Daniel Sedin. It was fantastic
