A lesser known trilogy

I have now published three books. When I was younger I dreamt of publishing a book, but it becomes remarkably prosaic – you write them , they come out, no-one reads them and then you move on to the next thing. Worlds remain unchanged. But I do like to sometimes put them on my bookshelves next to great books, ‘oh, Saul Bellow’s The Adventures of Augie March and what’s this, The Digital Scholar?’
In terms of trilogies I like to think that although they haven’t sold as much as Lord of the Rings, they have fewer elves.

Lost or Found

This is the entrance to Forest Fawr, which is near where I live. We went for a walk at dusk and they have a fairy trail through the forest, complete with witches cauldron, fairy doors in the trees, etc. I think this has a slightly creepy element too.

Road up

Did a 21 mile run with my wife today. We’re doing the Nice-Cannes marathon in 3 weeks so this was the last long run. This was about halfway, a welcome break as we waited for the road to be lowered on Cardiff Bay barrage.

I took my daughter to Bristol Zoo and we had good fun feeding the Lorikeets. See more photos over at flickr
I know zoos are a bit morally dubious to many people, but I must confess I do enjoy a well run zoo.
